South Elmsall
South Elmsall rail station car park has been increased by 106 spaces through £600,000 investment from the West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund.
South Elmsall
Completed in July 2017, the scheme provided much-needed parking capacity with an additional 46 spaces, enhanced CCTV and LED lighting and additional Blue Badge Bays. The existing car park was resurfaced and re-marked and electrical ducting to facilitate any Electric Vehicle charging scheme that may be introduced in the future.
South Elmsall rail station is one of 14 projects within Phase 1 of our Rail Park and Ride Programme, which has been designed to increase station parking and provide people with increased access to train services. In turn, this will help reduce congestion, improve local air quality and enhance people’s access to jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as leisure activities.
