Rail Strategy
Trains play a really important role in making our local network cleaner, greener and better connected to longer-distance destinations. Hundreds of thousands of people rely on rail travel in our region for getting to their places of education, social and leisure destinations and of course, for work. So, we're committed to making the trains work for them.
We also want to design better ways for rail journeys to integrate seamlessly with other parts of our transport system. Making it easier to make journeys using trains, buses, walking and cycling and new kinds of transport we'll be building in the future.
