In response to the latest HMICFRS State of Policing, Annual Assessment of Policing in England and Wales 2021, West Yorkshire’s Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime Alison Lowe OBE said:

“The fact that West Yorkshire Police is mentioned several times in this significant report as a model of best practice, is testament to the hard work and dedication of all those within the Force and the partners we work with.

“In particular, control room standards and the approach to integrated offender management were all positively cited, alongside outstanding processes for tackling serious and organised crime.

“Likewise, the investment into Neighbourhood Policing and early intervention for young people were also given special mention.

“This is the news we want to hear as we now embark upon the Mayor’s first Police and Crime Plan for West Yorkshire and provides a great platform to deliver our future goals.”
