Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to ‘the non-compliances and exemptions’ listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Across the website, pages are missing a main content landmark to indicate the main part of the page. This fails WCAG success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
  • There is no bypass link on any of the pages to allow users to skip over the navigation. This fails WCAG success criterion 2.4.1 (Bypass Blocks).
  • There are a couple of generic text links on a couple of the pages that cannot be determined from the link text alone. This fails WCAG success criterion 2.4.4 (Link Purpose (In Context).
  • The website does not have a lang attribute so there is no way for a screen reader to determine which language they should be accessing the pages in which fails WCAG success criterion 3.1.1 (Language of Page).
  • The state of the tab buttons on the ‘Decisions’ page are missing correct accessible set up which fails WCAG 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).

ModernGov is managed by a third party supplier. We have passed the above non-compliances on to the supplier for remediation. We plan to have all issues resolved by May 2025.
