Rail Accessibility Programme

The key objective of this programme is, for each station in scope, to achieve an unobstructed and obstacle free accessible route to platforms within Network Rail Controlled Infrastructure. Access improvements will be investigated at Cross Gates, Morley and Horsforth rail stations.

Funding and Timescales

  • The Rail Accessibility Package is funded by the Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme
  • As part of Development work, Network Rail to consider synergies with the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) at Crossgates and Morley

Overall Cost £800k has been allocated for development costs (subject to approvals). Any delivery costs to be confirmed
Promoting Authority Joint promotion by West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council working in partnership with Network Rail
