Bus Shelter Refurbishment

The Combined Authority owns around 500 bus shelters across West Yorkshire. This project is designed to replace bus shelters that show signs of deterioration in order to provide transport infrastructure that is fit for purpose and safe to use.

This project includes:

  • Replacing existing glazing systems with glass that will be held securely in place
  • Re-painting or coating metalwork
  • Removal and re-wiring of shelter electrical installation

This project will extend the life of shelters for a further 15 years, provide access to jobs and local services and improve the safety of public transport users.
