Grade J SP1-4 £30,948 – 35,835 per annum

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Project Manager (AGE). This post will have the opportunity to project manage a range of projects, focusing on business grants and loan programmes, leading particularly on the Apprenticeship Grant for employers. The role will also include day to day management of a small team to ensure that grants and loans are awarded in line with grant criteria and will include establishing processes for delivering the grant programmes, including financial management, monitoring and reporting of progress of the programme.

The authority is seeking an experienced, confident, self-motivated and experienced Project Manager who is able to contribute to cross CA programmes to the development and delivery of grant funded programmes.

The Project Managers key responsibilities will include:

  • Project management of a range of projects with a focus on business grant and loan programmes with lead responsibility for the Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE);
  • Lead on the development/design and implementation of models and process for delivering programmes;
  • Ensuring that the CAs Project Management Procedures are followed;
  • Day to day management of a small project team.

This is a temporary post to cover maternity leave starting in August 2019.  Secondment opportunities will be considered for this post, however, in line with the Combined Authority’s Secondments Policy, you must have 12 months’ service in your current role.
