West Yorkshire Combined Authority is the driving force behind local partners’ collective efforts to make the Leeds City Region known globally as a place where everyone can combine economic success with an outstanding quality of life. Our main goal is ‘inclusive growth’ – ensuring all our people and places are able to contribute to, and benefit from, economic prosperity.

With its energetic feel, the Leeds City Region is one of the most attractive areas to live, work and play in the UK. If you enjoy working and living in a place full of pace, innovation, challenge, opportunity, change and dynamism then these could be the roles for you.

The Combined Authority is seeking to strengthen its Implementation team, which oversees a £1bn+ portfolio of capital programmes and projects. These schemes are either delivered directly by the Combined Authority or through one of our partner organisations (public and private sector).

The Transport Partnerships team oversees partner delivery for major infrastructure including the £1bn West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund, £173.5m package of transport improvements for Leeds and the aspirational Cycle City Ambition Grant across the Leeds City Region.  As Programme Manager you will work closely with Local Authority highways teams and technical specialists to drive forward delivery of a range of ambitious projects and programmes by 2021.  This includes facilitating schemes through the Combined Authority Assurance Framework from concept stage to Full Business Case and acting as Case Officer on a range of high profile schemes, and monitoring performance against targets.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has experience in overseeing major infrastructure delivery in a partnership context including knowledge of the assurance and management of portfolios or large programmes. We would welcome applications from candidates with a strong track record of managing successful partnerships.
